Norman's Nadia to compete on TV's 'The Apprentice'

Mere days after appearing at the Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular, five-time Olympic gold medalist and Norman resident Nadia Comaneci was among the 14 names announced to compete on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice." The show will be an all-star version of the network's once-bustling reality series, in which the young, upwardly mobile and completely vacuous competed for jobs with hair-challenged real estate mogul Donald Trump.

Married to fellow gymnast Bart Conner, Comaneci will be applying her business acumen against such celebrities " the term can be applied only loosely to some " as Kiss front man Gene Simmons, "The Sopranos" supporting player Vincent Pastore, alleged actor Stephen Baldwin, country singer Trace Adkins, Playboy Playmate of the Year Tiffany Fallon, softball superstar Jennie Finch, boxing champ Lennox Lewis, Ultimate Fighting Champion Tito Ortiz, supermodel Carol Alt, "Taxi" star Marilu Henner, and Piers Morgan, who apparently is a judge for "America's Got Talent," a show CFN is not 100 percent sure actually exists.

Unless ladies' man Trump starts thinking with his "¦ um, underwriter (in which case, congrats, Fallon!), we're putting our money on Comaneci to win. After all, the woman has done a lot of good in the international charitable organizations front, not to mention beating the crap out of Muhammad Ali on Fox.com's greatest athletes in history list.

Plus, let's be honest: You really think Trump wants a Baldwin brother hanging around?

And if we're wrong, at least we can't wait to see Trump give Comaneci her walking papers: "You're fired "¦ now do a triple-flip axle twist or something on your way out!"
