"Observe and Report," is by no means the comic romp suggested by the trailer. Yes, it stars Seth Rogen ("Pineapple Express," "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" and every other comedy made during the last two years), but despite surface similarities, Rogen is no Jack Black. He's funny, but there's a darker underbelly to him that I've seen flashes of before, which have never been exposed as thoroughly as they are here.
