OKC Casady grad's talk show cancelled

Allow CFN a moment to pause and reflect about the glory that was Megan Mullally's talk show.

Ahh. OK " we're better. According to published reports, the one-time Oklahoma City high school student's chat-fest bit the dust last week, hitting the skids less than five months after it first aired.

"I am extremely proud of the show we created and am thankful for the passion and tireless efforts of (executive producer) Corin Nelson and the entire staff," Mullally said in a statement issued Jan. 4.

Having previously knocked 'em dead as boozy social doyenne Karen Walker on NBC's smash sitcom "Will & Grace," Mullally made the leap to daytime television last year, bringing with her a wacky sense of humor (most memorably when she and fellow Okie transplant Kristin Chenoweth busted out a rendition of "Boomer Sooner" meant to shame Mark Kranenburg of the Will Rogers World Airport into putting their respective pictures up in the terminals), plenty of Okie pride and even a few show tunes.

Per reports elsewhere, no replacement has yet been selected, although CFN suspects that Oprah pal Rachael Ray will get her show expanded another hour. Never doubt the power of the O "¦
