Spears was speaking about the museums 27th Annual Omelette Party, held Feb. 5 at the Coca-Cola Bricktown Events Center, where more than 950 people enjoyed gourmet omelets created by local chefs.
There was an open bar, with live music from The Stars and DJ Brian Smith. The big hit of the party, besides watching the chefs flip the omelets, was checking out the amount of people crawling in and out of the photo booth onsite from The Oklahoma Photobooth Company. The art raffle on the opposite side of the building featured more than 50 Oklahoma artists with many happy winners who got to carry the work home.
This years theme, Eggs a la MOD, was inspired by the museums new exhibition, George Nelson; Architect, Writer, Designer, Teacher, which opened last week. The exhibition includes more than 120 three-dimensional objects, including examples of mid-century furniture, lamps, clocks, drawings, photographs, architectural models and films.
Nelsons work certainly provides a lot of inspiration for this years Omelette Party committee, said co-chair Adrienne Nobles. Carol Smaglinski
