Flatire Burgers

6315 N.W. 39th, Bethany

603-2822

Same great menu as the
Edmond place, but an additional location. Start with the fried pickles
or ranchero salsa and chips. As for burgers, have it plain or get
creative with the Maui Burger, which comes with grilled ham, cheese,
pineapple-jalapeño relish and barbecue sauce. Skipping meat? Try the
Tree Hugger. It has fresh spinach, carrots, mushrooms, sprouts,
cucumbers and cheese.

Kenney’s Irish Pub

116 W. Harrison, Guthrie

365-4532

As if Guthrie isn’t cool
enough already, now you can hang out in an Irish pub that features live
performances from local talent, including, of course, traditional Irish
tunes. Don’t forget about the booze and food. It’s not your typical pub
grub, either. Of course it’s delicious and decadent, but you can also
enjoy a no-meat Philly, complete with a side of colcannon, a traditional
Irish potato-and-cabbage dish. Grab a whiskey sandwich or a corned beef
sandwich, too.

Syrup: A Breakfast Boutique

123 Main, Norman

701-1143

Breakfast
and brunch are two events that people should experience frequently, and
they should do so by delighting in the tastiest of morning treats.
While you’re enjoying the eats, you might as well be in beautiful
surroundings, right? That’s the concept behind Syrup: It’s sweet, a
little fancy and the perfect place to spend the first hours of your day,
noshing on yummy breakfast foods.

Volcano Sushi Bar & Hibachi

2727 S. Interstate 35, Moore

759-3888

It’s definitely not
your average trip to the hibachi. All dishes are made with fresh
ingredients, and some come out resembling works of art. It’s OK; Go
ahead and eat it, anyway. If you want to skip the hibachi and try some
rolls, don’t pass up the Earthquake, Golden Fantasy and Twin Towers.
Finish up your meal with the great fried ice cream.

El Tapatio

1000 N.E. 63rd

475-0299

For
Oklahoma State University grads, finding out that the metro has an El
Tap might be more exciting than Christmas. If you’ve never had the
pleasure of dining at this Tex-Mex casa, remedy that omission
immediately. Known for its blanco queso and homemade tortillas, the rest
of the menu is just as stellar. Try the quesadilla de camarones, filled
with grilled shrimp, and the burrito Tapatio, stuffed with grilled pork
tips.

Broadway Nutrition

627 N. Broadway, Moore

759-7179

Just
got done with an excellent workout and need a protein shake to help
those muscles stay strong? You’re in luck! Broadway Nutrition is a new
health-forward shop that carries Herbalife products. Herbalife is a
protein-shake meal replacement used for losing, gaining or maintaining
weight, depending on where you are with your fitness goals. With flavors
like Fudgecicle and Almond Joy, it’s hard to believe you’re being
healthy.

The Mule

1630 N. Blackwelder

601-1400

The
ultimate comfort food might just be the grilled cheese sandwich. Now
you can get one whenever you want in the Plaza District. Start with the
fried cheese curds or Okie Poutine, hand-cut fries with house-made gravy
and cheese. Keep it healthy with a beet salad or indulge with the
Big-Ass Grilled Cheese, made with sourdough bread and chef’s choice of
five cheeses. Add bacon if you dare.
