OKG7 new spots on the block

Vamonos Mexican Grill

125 W. Britton Road, Nichols Hills

842-1180

Start with queso ($2.99) and a spiced shrimp salad ($7.99). Signature tacos ($2.59-$3.49) range from Korean rib-eye to carnitas, a milk-roasted pork. Get the nacho bowl ($6.39) for a little taste of everything on the menu.

The Greek Taverna

122 N. Broadway, Moore

794-3663

Open since May, this tavern is a self-proclaimed touch of Greece. The Mendros family serves authentic Greek fare like a gyro sandwich ($5.99) or a souvlaki special ($7.49), a skewer of meat and veggies. Get a side of hummus and pita ($2.49); for dessert, try baklava ($1.99) or loukoumades, syrup-soaked fried dough ($1.50).

Gabriella’s Italian Grill & Pizzeria

1226 N.E. 63rd

478-4955

Probably the only thing that could be better than lemon aioli is when you dip crispy asparagus ($14) in it. You can’t miss the brick oven-baked pepperoni and arugula flat bread ($13) or barbecue chicken pizza ($17). From the grill, try the jalapeño-garlic tilapia ($15) or ribeye Fiorentina ($45).

Club One 15

115 E. Sheridan

605-5783

Is
it a club or a restaurant? Well, it’s both! Serving dinner and
late dinner, enjoy things like a cheese and sausage plate ($6.99) or a
mini fajita party ($7.99). The Bricktown wedge ($8.99) comes with
Gorgonzola, bacon, green olives and grape tomatoes and the crab-stuffed
halibut ($22.79) is braised and smothered in a house-made thermidor
sauce.

Okie’s Chicken & Grill

2631 S.W. 29th

634-6543

It
might be called Okie’s Chicken, but the specialty is fried catfish
($2.09- $7.49). The menu is varied: bean burritos ($.99) to bacon
cheeseburgers ($3.29). Get some potato salad ($1.59) and wedges ($.99
for four) to go with your meal. If you’re dining in, wash it all down
with a cold beer ($1.50-$2.50).

Sebby’s Pizza Kitchen

205 Meline Drive, Edmond

285-6117

Whether
dine-in, drive-thru or delivery, this pizza kitchen offers a 16-inch
pie with up to five toppings for $13.99. Get the salami and peppers
($9.99) or hamburger and olives ($9.99). Not in the mood for pizza? Try
the No. 14 sub ($5.50), which comes with smoked ham and bacon, or the
No. 7 sub ($5.50) with cheese and avocado.

Hummus Mediterranean Cafe

811 S.W. 19th, Moore

759-7024

It
should be obvious, but if not: try the hummus ($4-$6), which comes in
eight flavors. Made fresh daily, it won’t disappoint. Enjoy an authentic
kebab ($12- $16). If you’re lugging the kiddos and they don’t want
Mediterranean, opt for the mac ’n’ cheese ($4).
