OpenTable as top-notch, Opus is a mustgo for any steak aficionado. If
you’re with a group, splurge on the tasting platter ($49): a generous
serving of calamari, pan-seared crab cake, barbecue shrimp and Tuscan
tenders (fillet medallions). On the lighter side, a traditional Caesar
($8) won’t fill you up too much before the main course, or opt for
lobster bisque ($9). Steaks range from $34 to $95, or try the duck
breast ($26), seasoned with garlic and nutmeg.


Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse

Wine Spectator and
OpenTable also recognized this legendary Oklahoma steakhouse. Pair a
jumbo shrimp cocktail ($13.95) or snow crab claws ($14.95) with a blue
cheese wedge ($8.95) to start. There’s cedar-plank salmon ($28.95) if
you’re not in the mood for red meat. Steaks range from $33.95 to $49.95.
Ask about its gluten-free menu.


Red Prime Steak

Bask
in the red lighting and jazz music while you enjoy your steak
($29-$62). Ask for the chef-recommended crust and sauce, because they
know what they’re doing, and all the house-made creations are delicious.
Red-meat alternatives are the double-cut pork chops ($28), served with
maple-pecan butter, or a wild greens and yogurt tart ($16). Sides come
family-style, so order a few to share. Try the slivered asparagus ($9)
and the green chili mac ($9).


Ranch Steakhouse

Even
if you just go for the lovely patio, stick around for dinner. Seared
scallops ($19) to start, with a tomato and mozzarella salad ($8), leads
in perfectly to whichever cut of meat ($25-$65) you decide on. The duck
breast with a baked sweet potato and spinach ($26) is a standout, as
well. Sides are family-style, so split the steak fries ($7) and glazed
carrots ($8).

Cattleman’s Steakhouse

1309 S. Agnew

If
you live in OKC and have never made a trip down to Stockyards City to
eat at this place, shame on you. Whether you’re getting steak
($15.50-$26.50) or fried catfish ($11.65), you’ll be in for a treat at
this famous steakhouse that has been around for more than 100 years and
has been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and Man v. Food.



Boulevard Steakhouse

505 S. Boulevard, Edmond

If
you’re up north, you can’t miss this stylish favorite. Cajun tourendos
($13.99) or escargot ($13.99) will get you started. Steaks
($32.99-$57.99) are priced based on cut and size. The grilled salmon
($29.99) is topped with jumbo shrimp, lump crab meat and a
gingerscallion aioli. Get the steak and lobster (market price) if you
can’t decide on one protein. Save room for Boulevard brandy ice ($9).


Mahogany Prime Steakhouse

In
this classy restaurant, steak ($36.99- $46.99) is the main event.
However, take your time with this dinner and start with trout dip
($11.99), crab and lobster bisque ($7.99) and a spinach salad with warm
bacon dressing ($7.99). Alaskan king crab legs (market price) and the
Mahogany chicken ($19.99) will satisfy not craving red meat. Get the
onion straws ($7.99) and creamed spinach ($8.99) on the side.
