Oklahoma City artist Denise Duong's latest exhibit, "de-li'cious: highly pleasing, sweet, palatable," is not focused on food that pleases the palate, but rather morsels of time.

Her work is exhibited the east gallery of the state Capitol, 2300 N. Lincoln, and includes works inspired by love, life and adventure.

When viewed in person, visitors will see all of the layers and the great attention to even the smallest details of Duong's pieces, said Alyson Atchison, curator of education and the Capitol Galleries. Duong uses a mixed-media technique to create a collage effect throughout her artwork.

The exhibit chronicles individual moments in the lives of a couple and their dog. From a couple parachuting in unison, to a woman enjoying a piece of cake, Duong's pieces tell stories, Atchison said.

"Denise is adventurous and very spontaneous," she said. "She pulls from her own life to create these images."

The exhibit's namesake was taken from an entry in a dictionary from the '30s, and is on display through Oct. 10. Admission is free. The gallery is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.
