It seems like just four weeks ago, Chicken-Fried News was reporting about Oklahoma's official sweetheart Carrie Underwood getting snugly with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Oh, because it was just four weeks ago.
But now online reports say the romance is kaput, assuming there ever was one at all.
Said Underwood to the press, "I have read some of the most ridiculous things about that. The first time I ever met him was on Christmas, right there on the field. Everybody was like, 'Ooh, they are together.' And then I was blamed for Dallas not winning that game. "¦ He is a very nice guy and I've talked to him a few times, but we are very much not together."
So with that, CFN is shutting the doors on its Romowood Romance Division. Perhaps it's for the best, as "Carrie Romo" sounds like a gooey candy bar that would ruin our auto's rich Corinthian leather interior. So give us a buzz, Carrie " we've got a thing for girls from Checotah "¦ at least those who have won "American Idol."
