Pull out your red carpet-worthy outfit for Hollywood's biggest night and help the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City make an impact on the community.

"Oscar Night America in Oklahoma," organized by the Young Professionals of the Ronald McDonald House, starts 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Castle Falls, 820 N. Macarthur.

Guests will receive a red-carpet welcome, complete with paparazzi photos.

Inside, food from local restaurants will be served, along with music, a silent auction and games. Prizes will be awarded to the the best-dressed celebrity lookalike, all while Hollywood's stars wait for the results of the 82nd annual Academy Awards. Up for auction is an autographed jersey by the Oklahoma City Thunder team, a skateboard autographed by Tony Hawk, a gift certificate for a dinner at the Skirvin Hilton, and two Southwest Airlines tickets.

"Part of the goal of the Young Professionals is to create awareness for professionals between the ages of 25 to 35 of what the Ronald McDonald House does for the community and create long-lasting relationships with the charity," said Larisa Waters, Young Professionals president.

All proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House, which provides a home away from home for families with seriously ill or injured children who are receiving medical treatment in the Oklahoma City area. In 2009, the House served more than 700 children and their families by providing lodging and food to help with costs.

Cocktail attire is suggested, and attendees are encouraged to dress like a celebrity. Tickets are $50 per person, or $75 for couples. For more information, call 424-6874 or visit www.rmhokc.com. "LeighAnne Manwarren
