Eight out of 10 OKC residents who responded to a recent
survey think the city is not only moving in the right direction, but is
also a good place to live, raise children and work.

What’s more is that OKC residents rate their city higher than residents of other cities with a population of more than 200,000.

About
3,000 surveys were mailed to random households, of which some 1,200
were filled out. Presumably those who didn’t respond were too happy to
be bothered.

This is the sixth OKC citizen-satisfaction survey conducted by ETC Institute, a Kansas-based market research firm.

And
company President Chris Tatham is ensuring he’ll get a contract for the
seventh: “Oklahoma City continues to set the standard of quality for
city services for cities with a population over 200,000,” he said. “City
residents rated Oklahoma City significantly above the national average
in 12 areas.”

Let the back-patting commence.
