La Baguette Bistro
7408 N. May Ave. 840-3047

La Baguette Bistro, still cooking after all these years, has a clear French identity. Brunch on the weekends is usually filled with people enjoying its well-put-together Bonjour Paris. That dish consists of scrambled eggs, with bacon or ham, and Swiss tucked in a warmed croissant. Top honors go to the Suzi a la Dijonnaise, shaved ham and asparagus in a dijon cream sauce.

Fusion Cafe

1224 N. Broadway, Moore 799-4900

Ever tried goat meat? It happens to be the most eaten meat in the world. Yet, a lot of Americans shy away from it, but Koreans in Oklahoma are seeking out Fusion Cafe just for its goat stew. That is a rich soup made with tender goat meat, as well as the addition of traditional Korean spices. Lap up its spicy potato stew and its Koreanstyle wings, as well.

Ingrid’s Kitchen

3701 N. Youngs Blvd. 946-8444

This
is a no-frills, respectable restaurant that has earned its reputation
for first-rate German food and sandwiches. The Grobe Bratwurst is
tremendous, along with German potato salad, red cabbage and sauerkraut.
Above all, don’t miss its authentic German bienenstich, a sponge cake
soaked with sauce and filled with almond icing. Not too soft, not too
sweet: just right.
