Southeast Oklahoma's Girls Gone Wine lets visitors make their own vino

Three women have opened Girls Gone Wine " a winery in southeast Oklahoma that features customers making and bottling their own vino.

Besides being the name of the winery, "girls gone wine" is also a phrase used by many wine shops and liquor stores across the country. It's catching on as the moniker for discounts offered to women on a certain day of the week.

In Stockton, Calif., a "girls gone wine" tasting is held every third Thursday of the month. The only thing that changes is the vintages, not the female-only policy.

WIDE RANGE OF WINES
Co-owners Chandra Rickey, Michelle Finch and Rhonda Reed of Hochatown created their destination point on the border of Beavers Bend Resort Park.

"We've been pleasantly surprised; most of our customers come out in groups and experience winemaking while having a great time with family and friends," said Rickey.

Girls Gone Wine features fermenting and the bottling of wine batches for personal enjoyment or special occasions. Wines range in both style and price, from the Ladies Aren't Tramps Italian Pinot Grigio ($12.95) to the Black Tie Red Wine ($23.95). "Edmund Solis
