Stillwater's Colourmusic set to shine upon Norman 

Just about anyone can fall in love with the experimental, quirky and, well, colorful fivesome known as Colourmusic

The members all met on the Oklahoma State University campus. The band and its music is sort of a collective art concept. It strives to make colorful music, literally.

Colourmusic started at one end of the spectrum and released two albums on its own. Though not officially titled, songs from those "Yellow" and "Red" EPs will be pulled together for an "Orange" album, which will be released this fall through Great Society Records.

It sounds a little weird, but the band is committed to the idea, Hendrix said, and are having a lot of fun "using colors to define music."

CONCERT
Along with Starlight Mints, the band will be in Norman Friday to play the concert part of the University of Oklahoma's Big Red Rally. So how does a band from OSU feel about playing to a Sooner audience?

"Norman is great. They seem to be very supportive of us," Hendrix said. "Stillwater has been great to us, but you get the feeling they don't really 'get' what we are about sometimes ... but (the Norman concert) should be a great show." "Joe Wertz
