The magazine surveyed 310 individuals across the nation asking for their reactions to 50 of the largest metropolitan regions. According to the story, out of all respondents, Oklahoma City ranked fourth in negative reactions, above only Cleveland; Birmingham, Ala.; and Detroit.

Frickin’ Detroit.

The only bright spot comes from respondents in the Midwest, which ranked the city one tier above the bottom. But so what if we’re ranked slightly above a city that had its river catch on fire, a city that was the focal point of racial intolerance, and a city best described as one part ghost town, one part war zone? At least we have a canal and an NBA team, right?

That’s right. We’re a Big League City now. Haters gonna hate.
