Survey says ...

Survey results revealed residents view OKC an “excellent” or “good” place to live (88 percent), work (82 percent) and raise children (81 percent). Ratings for those items were significantly higher than the national averages for large U.S. cities.

The six-page survey was mailed to a random sample of 3,000 households this summer. A total of 1,236 households completed the survey.

Satisfaction ratings improved or stayed the same in 49 of the 65 city services that were rated, and 16 showed a decline. Twenty-six areas showed significant increases (3 percent or more) in satisfaction or positive ratings from 2012 to 2013, while six city services showed significant decreases.
