They’re taking a trip — to jail

Our guess is it was probably pretty easy to track down two young adults who were busted recently for growing a crapload of magic mushrooms in their apartment.

Said one respondent on the Shroomery.org message board, “Why didn’t they lie and say they were medicinal mushroom jars?” Thanks for the legal advice, but various strains of the hallucinogenic substances were also allegedly found in 11 syringes.

The pair were charged with “felony unlawful cultivation of a controlled dangerous substance,” reported NewsOK. Forty-seven glass jars also were found with psilocybin mushrooms in many stages of growth.

One suspect, Matthew Emmett
Hanna, 22, is a repeat offender with a prior felony conviction for
keeping a residence where a “dangerous substance” was bought or sold.
