Three master's degree candidates open Norman gallery exhibit

our third year," Pitt said. "We've done it mostly because they didn't have a professional space for the master's degree candidates to exhibit, and OU also wanted them to go through the process of dealing with a gallery and to go through that learning experience."

LIVE ART
During the opening, Wilson will use her mobile printmaking studio "? a 1985 GMC Safari cargo van "? for an in-gallery live art performance.

"Michael works from personal experience, and she really wants this to be a performance experiment to allow her to have the knowledge of what it takes to make her art work with random public human beings," Pitt said.

Pitt also said she has been pleased with the response she has seen to the 2nd Friday events.

"It's been building very well," she said. "The city has been very, very happy despite some bad weather. We're hoping the good weather this weekend will bring out even more people."

Admission to the exhibit, which will run through May 2, is free. For more information, call 292-8095.
