Trees for Bees

Learn about native trees and how they can help create a bee-friendly landscape. Most people think of pollinator plants as being mainly flowers and shrubs, but flowering trees are a critical source of forage for bees, providing nutrient-rich pollen and nectar. Forest will teach participants how to combine fruiting and flowering trees with other plants to provide blooms for bees throughout the entire bee season. Forest will also have tree seedlings available for purchase. Instructor: Forest Chapman is founder of Native Treasure Tree Farm. Forest has been a beekeeper for ten years, and is a leading naturalist beekeeper in Oklahoma.
