VIDEO: New murals add color to Western Ave. district

With her ash black hair flowing behind her, Bella faces Western Ave. with her hands cupped in front of her, seemingly inviting anyone passing by to jump in.

Bella is the subject of a mural at Western and 37th Street, one of five that are being worked on this week in the uptown commercial and residential neighborhood.

Guests to the 12th annual Taste of Western Culinary Art event on Oct. 23 will have a chance to sample cuisine from restaurants along Western and vote on their favorite mural. After the event the murals will remain as permanent public art, giving an added identity to the up-and-coming neighborhood.
