WHY ATTEND THE PARADE?

Maybe the location of the ghoul-fest is what draws you in. How many times a year does the city shut down entire blocks for a party?

Last year more than 60,000 people were in attendance, so arriving before the droves of monsters, zombies and witches is an excellent plan.

Come out and start a tradition with your family and friends, or continue a time-honored fright fest with your crew. Put on a costume and prepare for a night of freaky, scary fun.

Fans on Twitter think attendance, for the newcomer and the veteran, is mandatory.

Twitter folk weren’t the only ones who had strong opinions about the anticipated Halloween parade.

FROM FACEBOOK:

In fact, Chandra Sledge had a great idea. Why not head down early and enjoy the pre-parade energy?

Grab some coffee at Coffee Slingers, 1015 N. Broadway Ave., or a cocktail at Red Primsteak, 504 N. Broadway Ave. Depending on where you decide to set up and watch the parade, a burger and beer at McNellie’s OKC, 1100 Classen Drive, is a great way to start, too.
