For the premiere episode of “Hairy Bikers,” the two food fiends will be stopping at three different locations in the Sooner State to find out the secrets of making wheat beer.

“They’ve been bikers and good friends together for 20 years, and for them, that’s the way to get out and explore America,” said Dawn Fitzgerald, executive producer.

The first stop for Paul Pantranella and Bill Allen on their quest for brew is a wheat farm in the southwestern Oklahoma town of Grandfield.

After learning how wheat is harvested, it’s off to the Choc Beer Co. in Krebs, to see how that wheat is turned into beer. At the brewery, the bikers create their own hairy biker brew.

“The premise of the show is they are hunting and gathering local ingredients, so we like to hit things that are timely and important and specific to each area,” Fitzgerald said.

The bikers will then take their libations with them to dine on a feast of burgers at Meers Store & Restaurant.

“Burgers are what dudes on bikes would eat,” Fitzgerald said. “The best burger in the state could not be missed.”

Pantranella and Allen plan to experience America through food and motorcycles, and their journey through Oklahoma airs at 9:30 p.m. Friday on History, channel 61 on Cox.
