1515 Lincoln Gallery will present Otto Neumann: Modern Artist, an exhibition featuring 19 remarkable mid-century works on paper by acclaimed German artist Otto Neumann. Opening Oct. 1 and continuing through Nov. 28, 2026, the exhibition marks the first presentation of Neumann’s work in Oklahoma.
Curated by Sean Freneau, Director of the Otto Neumann Collection, the exhibition brings together works that explore Neumann’s bold approach to the human form alongside examples of his signature abstract compositions. Most of the works included in the exhibition have never before been seen by the public.
Neumann developed a distinctive artistic language that attracted the attention of collectors, designers and curators for decades. His work is represented in the permanent collections of more than 30 institutions worldwide, including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
An opening reception will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, from 6 to 8 pm at 1515 Lincoln Gallery.
On Saturday, Oct. 3, from 2 to 3 pm, the gallery will host an exclusive Curator Talk with Sean Freneau, who will discuss Neumann’s life, artistic development and lasting influence.
