The original prognosis was that he’d miss the first 4-6 weeks of the regular season, but because he may or may not be a human being, Westbrook is back from an injury and returned Sunday to the game.
This is great news for Thunder fans (Like you, right? Right?!) hoping to avenge the disappointment of last year’s early playoff exit. Expectations are high this year — for good reason — with some (including three Sports Illustrated writers)
even going so far as to pick OKC to win the NBA Championship. And
playing without Westbrook — arguably one of the league’s five best
players — is like eating a biscuit without gravy.
That’s an Oklahoma sports analogy.
