With everyone watching the action on Rococo’s giant television screen, the room was packed with beautiful women in sexy dresses, along with well-dressed men, all avid movie fans celebrating the 2011 Oscars.
Party hosts and hostesses included Charlie Monnot, Kevin Winsell, Kym Koch Thompson, Jodi Nestander, Paul James and Karen Kurtz. All the food was prepared under the direction of Jason Bustamante, executive chef at Rococo, and included appropriately festive names. Guests dined on “The King’s Peach,” a nod to Best Picture winner “The King’s Speech,” and tasty grits in honor of “True Grit.”
I’ll bet the enthusiastic hosts are already busy planning next year’s soiree.
Good Egg dinner
A Good Egg Dining Group is hosting its inaugural chefs’ dinner this Monday, March 21, at Red Prime Steak, 504 N. Broadway.
The
event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. The
five-course dinner with pairings will utilize the chefs and recipes from
A Good Egg’s diverse restaurants, including Red Prime, Republic
Gastropub, Cheever’s Cafe and Iron Starr Urban Barbeque.
A
portion of the proceeds will benefit Eat Wise OKC, a local initiative
to get healthy food options into local school cafeterias. Tickets are

Running wild
Debbie Lowery and Teresa Walters of Running Wild Catering, formerly Johnnie’s Catering, have welcomed a new partner, Tom Deutsch.
With more than a dozen years in the catering business behind them, Running Wild offers food services for corporate events, social gatherings and weddings.
Lowery credits their success to the fact that they are in that middle-ofthe-road niche that is affordable.
With the owners’ tried-andtrue recipes and culinary skills, they distinguish themselves with artistic
abilities and especially like theme parties.
“We did a golf-themed party, but among the best was a space-themed party,” Lowery said.

Margaret Holloway, who stays current and is filled with positive energy, is the general manager of Boulevard Steakhouse, 505 S. Boulevard in Edmond. She is also the marketing director for the restaurant, along with Cafe 501 next door and its second location in Classen Curve, 5825 N.W. Grand Blvd.
Just recently, Boulevard Steakhouse was listed as one of the top 50 most romantic restaurants in the nation as voted by diners at reservation and review site www.opentable.com. It was the only Oklahoma restaurant on the list. The businesses are owned by Margaret’s brother, Peter Holloway, and his wife, Sheree.
