Mankind might be good at hunting, but we are not always the best climbers.
According to a News9.com report, a man preparing for the upcoming hunting season while perched on a tree near the 10100 block of N. XXX Road took a spill and tumbled 25-30 feet to the ground. Somewhere, little Bambi was heard mumbling something about karma under his breath.
Before the story goes any further, please take a moment to appreciate XXX Road. What is the story behind this mysteriously named Oklahoma passageway? One gets the impression it was originally named by a strip club owner, a gang of misfit pirates or the worlds biggest fan of Vin Diesel action movies.
Anyway, the man fell in a heavily wooded area, and the ambulance could not reach him. Instead, he was loaded in the back of a sheriffs office pickup truck and transported to emergency personnel. Maybe this really is a Vin Diesel movie.
A KFOR.com report said authorities are warning hunters to be safety conscious this hunting season. The man who fell was taken to an area hospital, but the extent of his injuries is unclear. Not least among them, though, is likely a bruised ego.
