Chemistry has morphed from a boring class subject into a fun, interactive learning experience for kids, thanks to Science Museum Oklahomas Chemistry Day.
Fridays event is an annual one for the museum, and the first to be celebrated during the school year.
There will be activities going on all across the museum floor, based around the theme of chemistry, said Jacquelyn Musgrove, communications director, Science Museum Oklahoma. Its the ability to have a hands-on experience with chemistry and understand it and enjoy it.

Six experiment stations will be set up throughout the building to entertain attending youngsters. Themes will include playing with polymers, reaction rockets, cold chemistry and a reaction station.
Theyre interactive experiment tables, so its not like you will just be watching an experiment, Musgrove said. Youll be able to interact and participate in the experiment.
Slated from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, the event is intended for school-aged kids, but open to all ages. No registration is required, except for school groups.
There is no cost to participate in Chemistry Day, beyond regular museum admission, which is $9.95 for kids 4-12, and $11.95 for those 13 or older.
