Artists Tony Dyke and Susan Morrison each combine their everyday surroundings into abstract works of art.
Both moved to Oklahoma from New York City and have since made their mark, literally, on the Sooner State. In the past, the two have created monumental paintings and drawings in the metro, as well as murals at the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.
Their new exhibit, "Urban Abstractions," features scenes from interior spaces as well as urban-themed landscapes. From stationary objects like chairs to neighborhoods, the duo produces large-scale paintings inspired by life's seemingly unassuming scenes.
The collection is currently exhibited at Nault Fine Art, 1114 N. Walker.
"Of all the shows we have done, this exhibit is the most transforming of the gallery," said gallery owner Brian Nault. "Just seeing photos of the work does not do it justice."
