I was thinking of House Bill 2780 as totally sadistic, inhumane and criminal. I was thinking that rape by instrumentation used as a technique to invoke a change of mind was, in fact, torture.
Jamie Levescy's Letter ("A real blow," July 28, Gazette) has opened my eyes to the possibilities if we Okie gals would embrace our "legislators' solution to help women," by installing these vaginal devices everywhere. Reps. Sally Kern, Lisa Billy and the like could plug in during women's Bible study class. Maybe they could finally branch out of Leviticus and be able to decipher those difficult red words in their Bibles that have remained to them such a complete mystery. Now that really would be an enormous benefit to Oklahoma!
