Who’s running
Two candidates have filed for the mayor’s race:
- David Holt, the current mayor
- Matthew Pallares
The mayor is elected citywide and works alongside eight city council members, each representing one of Oklahoma City’s wards. Together, they make up the Oklahoma City Council.
Both the mayor and council members serve in nonpartisan, part-time roles under the city’s council-manager form of government. The mayor earns $24,000 per year, while council members receive $12,000 annually.
