Artist of the Quarantine: Elizabeth Maxwell

"I used to get down on myself for not having a Personal Style™ because it seemed like any designer/artist/illustrator worth anything had one. But I’ve learned over the years that I’m a creature of curiosity," Elizabeth Maxwell. "How was this thing made? How do I recreate this painting effect? What makes that era of illustration what it is, and how can I replicate it? Quarantine has freed me up to create more for fun, which means I’ve been spending more time experimenting with styles and techniques. At the end of the day, I’m proud to have a skillset that enables me to span many styles and mediums."
