celebration, LibertyFest in downtown Edmond kicks off with a 9 a.m.
parade starting from the intersection of E. Ayers Street and N.
University Drive. In the evening, ParkFest will begin at 6:30 p.m.,
featuring food, music, rides and games, followed by a fireworks display
at 10 p.m. Seating won’t be provided, but guests are encouraged to bring
lawn chairs or blankets. Free watermelon will be provided. Guests are
asked to leave pets and coolers at home.

This annual festival
includes early morning events: a car, truck and bike show at 8 a.m. and a
sand volleyball tournament at 9 a.m. Starting at 10 a.m., guests are
invited to check out arts and crafts, wineries, inflatables, karaoke and
a children’s tent. Banana Seat provides the music from 7 to 10 p.m.,
while the party concludes with — what else? — fireworks. Concessions
will be available. Visitors can bring lawn chairs, blankets and
coolers. Alcohol is not permitted, and dogs must be caged or leashed.

Drawing some 20,000 people
each year, Bethany’s annual Freedom Festival includes everything from a
parade to carnival rides, contests, a car show, shopping, live music
from the Chris Henson Band and fireworks starting at 9:55 p.m. Admission
is free, but there is a fee for carnival ride tickets and games, and
wristbands are available for purchase.
