With less than two years until Olympic competition arrives in Oklahoma City, Team OKC has launched a new community-wide effort connecting residents with the city’s role in the LA28 Olympic Games.
The Team OKC brand was unveiled Aug. 26 at The Jones Assembly with community leaders, Olympians, sports organizations and partners.
Oklahoma City will host Olympic softball and slalom paddle competition during the 2028 Games, bringing athletes and visitors from around the world to the city.
Mayor David Holt highlighted the years of investment and planning that helped position Oklahoma City for the opportunity.

“Team OKC is about much more than a logo or a brand — it is an invitation to this entire community,” Team OKC President Michael Byrnes said.
Thousands of volunteers are expected to be needed during the Games. Team OKC will share information about volunteer opportunities, community events and other ways residents and businesses can participate.
