Visitors to Factory Obscura’s immersive art installation MIX-TAPE can take a more active role this summer through RECORD+PLAY, a new interactive experience that blends performance, storytelling and creative collaboration.
Running on select dates through July, RECORD+PLAY invites guests to journey through the colorful world of MIX-TAPE while uncovering hidden clues, interacting with performers and contributing their own creative choices to help build a collective mix-tape inspired by shared experiences.
Described as part performance and part interactive adventure, the experience features a rotating cast of characters, ensuring that no two visits are exactly alike. Participants become collaborators in a living story where each decision influences the journey and adds a new layer to the unfolding narrative.
Featured performers include director and performer Morgan Smith, performer and music composer/producer Ashley J. Mandanas, performer Nancy Rance and performer Z Taylor.
RECORD+PLAY performances are scheduled for:
- Thursday, June 25, from 4-6 p.m.
- Saturday, July 11, from 5-7 p.m.
- Saturday, July 18, from 5-7 p.m.
- Sunday, July 26, from 2-4 p.m.
Additional performance dates may be announced.
Tickets include full access to MIX-TAPE and are priced at $35 for adults and $20 for children. Admission is free for MIX-TAPE members.
