Myriad Botanical Gardens will take families on a trip down the Mother Road this fall with Pumpkinville: Road to Route 66, running Oct. 1-25 in downtown Oklahoma City.
Inspired by the 100th anniversary of historic Route 66, this year’s Pumpkinville will feature thousands of pumpkins, seasonal displays, family activities and larger-than-life pumpkin murals depicting landmarks along the famous highway.
Visitors can expect Oklahoma favorites including the Blue Whale of Catoosa and POPS Arcadia, along with interpretations of Cadillac Ranch in Texas, the Wigwam Motel in Arizona and other roadside attractions.
Pumpkinville has been a fall tradition at Myriad Gardens since 2012 and has grown into one of the organization’s largest annual events. It also serves as the Myriad Gardens Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, supporting horticultural displays, educational programming and other community experiences at the Gardens.
Families considering a Myriad Gardens membership can receive $10 off first-year dues when purchasing or renewing a membership during August and September. Membership includes free admission to Pumpkinville as well as year-round benefits including admission to the Inasmuch Foundation Crystal Bridge Conservatory.
