a glitzy, glossy racing program, with profiles on all the racers and their vehicles, plus stats, ephemera and eye-popping color photos that emphasize the exciting visuals.
For those older kids for whom this may prove too fleeting, point them in the direction of “Speed Racer: Born to Race,” Michael Anthony Steele’s junior novelization of the film, with eight pages of art inspired by the movie stuck in the middle.
