Oklahoma City-based hospitality group The Social Order announced plans Monday to open a new Dave’s Hot Chicken location in Moore later this summer, replacing its longtime Fuzzy’s Taco Shop franchise near SW 19th Street and I-35.
The new restaurant, located at 825 SW 19th St., Suite 13, is expected to open in early August 2026. The existing Fuzzy’s Taco Shop at that location will close May 31 after nearly a decade serving the Moore community.
According to The Social Order, the move reflects the company’s confidence in the continued growth of the Dave’s Hot Chicken brand, which has rapidly expanded nationwide in recent years.
“We’ve been proud to serve the Moore community through Fuzzy’s for nearly a decade, and we’re even more excited about what’s next,” said Courtney Mankin, president of The Social Order, in a statement. “Dave’s Hot Chicken is a brand we believe in, and Moore is exactly the right community to welcome it.”

The Social Order currently operates four Dave’s Hot Chicken locations across the Oklahoma City metro, along with concepts including The Jones Assembly, Spark, Citizen House and multiple Fuzzy’s Taco Shop franchises.
While the Moore Fuzzy’s location is closing, the company said customers can still visit nine other metro-area Fuzzy’s Taco Shop restaurants, including its newest location at 2875 SW 104th St. in south Oklahoma City, which opened in February 2025.
“We’re thrilled to be expanding our partnership with The Social Order into Moore,” said Kelly Allen, Dave’s Hot Chicken partner. “The demand for Dave’s Hot Chicken in Oklahoma has been incredible, and we can’t wait to welcome Moore guests into the fold.”
Additional details about the Moore location, including grand opening events and promotions, are expected to be announced in the coming months.
