Want to get to the top via From the Top? The NPR program is on the lookout for pre-college-aged classical musicians to perform at its live concert radio performance at 3 p.m. May 15, 2011, at Oklahoma City University. From soloists and vocalists to composers, interested students age 8 to 18 who have not yet graduated high school may apply through Feb. 25, 2011, at www.fromthetop.org. Some may be eligible for scholarships up to $10,000. Hosted by Christopher ORiley (pictured), the show features a mix of performances and interviews, from serious to not-so-serious. Brad Ferguson, KCSC general manager, said in a press release that it is gratifying to show a national production company what a dynamic city Oklahoma City is, both in business and in arts. The event will be hosted on the campus Kirkpatrick Auditorium by KCSC-FM, which is one of 200 public radio stations to broadcast From the Top each week. For more information, call 974-2120. Rod Lott
