
But an Oklahoma Poll cited by the Tulsa World last
week indicates that constituent group perhaps isnt as large as we had
thought. Two-thirds of respondents indicated they believe human activity
might be partly responsible for climate change. A third of those
surveyed have had their opinions changed by the record heat over the
last 18 months.
If Inhofe remains popular, the World story
might provide a window into why. As one Muldrow woman reportedly told
the pollsters, I really think the end times are here.
Maybe
Inhofes popularity isnt so much a referendum on climate change as it
is about how many Oklahomans are eager to jump-start the Second Coming.
