God has spoken, but Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-You Kidding?) wants a second opinion from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Inhofe, chairman of the Senates Environment and Public Works Committee, recently joined a cadre of other senators to ask the EPA to come explain climate change models to them.
Its a little odd because in 2012, Inhofe was quoted as saying us mere mortals are to think we are able to change what He is doing to the climate.
(So, is God a methane producer? And, yes, thats a fart joke.)
In his book, The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future, Inhofe quotes Genesis 8:22 as proof that its not real: As long as the earth remains there will be springtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer.
The arrogance of people to think that we, human beings, would be able to change what He is doing in the climate is, to me, outrageous, he said in his book.
As if anyone would need more proof than that!
Earlier this year, Inhofe also (in)famously tossed a snowball onto the Senate floor to prove once and for all that global warming is a whopping load of hooey.
Perhaps if Inhofe returns to our state in the near future, he can prove with certainty that earthquakes also are bogus, especially if the ground isnt shaking when he steps from his plane (or other preferred method of transport).
