The Oklahoma Ethics Commission’s deadline has come and gone for filing end-of-year campaign reports, which shows who got paid, who did the paying, where the money was spent, and which Mexican restaurants were frequented by fervent anti-illegal immigration legislators on their campaign’s dime. Y’all got some ’splainin’ to do!
The list of those who have yet to submit all of their paperwork range from the political newcomers, such as south-side state Sen. Ralph Shortey, R-Oklahoma City, to those who have been around a bit longer and hold more senior positions, such as Democratic House Minority Leader Scott Inman of Del City. The list also includes district judges and unsuccessful candidates.
There were a total of 43 campaigns from 2010, four campaigns from 2008 and six from 2006 that are late on their reporting paperwork, according to the Ethics Commission.
A total of 27 non-candidate committees, including Hewlett-Packard Company and Sarah Palin’s political action committees, were late in filing campaign reports, according to the commission. Some of the other recognizable names on the list of recent candidates late in their ethics filings from 2010 included:

• Unsuccessful House candidate Amy Corley, D-Moore
• Unsuccessful House candidate Brittany Novotny, D-Oklahoma City
• Former State Superintendent Sandy Garrett
• Former state Senator Jay Paul Gumm, D-Durant
• Former state Treasurer Scott Meacham
• Rep. Al McAffrey, D-Oklahoma City
• Rep. Anastasia Pittman, D-Oklahoma City
