According to a press release, the Oklahoma country singer has declared Oct. 21 as National Mezcal Day, “which just happens to be the Friday prior to his upcoming album release.” Mezcal just happens to be what Keith’s 86.8-proof Wild Shot is all about, worm included.
To celebrate this plant-based distilled beverage, Keith has led the charge with an online countdown clock at wildshot.com, complete with a contest to win said new disc, “Clancy’s Tavern.” On the big day, all locations of Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill will offer drink specials, except for Boston, where local ordinances prohibit it. (Ha! Suck it, Beantown!)
