In regard to the “State of health” article by Mark Beutler (Aug. 1, Oklahoma Gazette), I wanted to say that I agree with the senti ment of the article. However, I’m disappointed the Gazette chose
to include “headless fatty” stock footage. Most of those pictures are
taken without permission. The idea that a person can’t walk down the
street and avoid having their picture taken and plastered over the
Internet due to their weight is shameful, to say the least. After all:
How dare we not treat other people as human beings due to their BMI!
