Uptown 23rd will mark Route 66’s 100th anniversary with Cruisin’ 23rd, a free, family-friendly block party set for Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 4-8 p.m., at the intersection of North Walker Avenue and Northwest 24th Street.
The Route 66–inspired event celebrates the historic highway’s centennial with an evening focused on community, local culture, and classic Americana. Cruisin’ 23rd is presented in partnership with the Friends of Uptown Foundation and Leadership Oklahoma City’s LOYAL Class XX LAP Group.
Programming includes music from DJ LiTE BRite and friends, local artist and merchant vendors, and the Stonecloud Vintage Fire Truck. Additional activities include a drink tent, photo booth, and a designated kids area.
Cruisin’ 23rd also serves as a kickoff for a series of Route 66–themed events planned throughout the year in Uptown, including a Memorial Marathon cheer zone, summer drive-in movies, a speaker series, and Uptown Outside in the fall. Organizers are seeking sponsors to support the full slate of centennial events.
Cruisin’ 23rd is free and open to the public. More information is available at uptown23rd.com/route66 and on social media @uptown23rd.
