One doesn’t discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time, wrote French author Andre Gide. I’m guessing that 2009 was a time when you embarked on such a search, Gemini — a half-blind, groping exploration that asked you to leave the past behind without knowing where the future lay.
