Oklahoma Bio Week returns Aug. 17-21 with a series of events highlighting the state’s growing bioscience and life sciences industries.
Hosted by the Oklahoma City Innovation District in partnership with Life Science Oklahoma, the second annual event brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, educators, students and community members for programs focused on biotechnology, healthcare innovation, workforce development and entrepreneurship.
Events throughout the week include the Oklahoma Bio Industry Showcase, What the Cell?! STEM Trivia Night, Future of Innovation in Healthcare & Biotech, a grant funding webinar and the BioPitch Series, where emerging entrepreneurs will present new life science companies and technologies.
The week concludes with Innovation on the Block, a free, family-friendly STEAM event featuring hands-on activities, exhibits and educational demonstrations. Innovation Hall in Oklahoma City will serve as a central hub for Bio Week programming.
Oklahoma is currently home to more than 400 active clinical trials, with continued investment in research, biomanufacturing, startup development and workforce training.
