Guthrie resident Sheldon Russell fictionalizes the rise and fall of his town in “Dreams to Dust: A Tale of the Oklahoma Land Rush” (University of Oklahoma Press), now in paperback. The territorial tale won the Oklahoma Book Award for best fiction and the Langum Prize for American historical fiction.
