Five Oklahoma artists and arts groups have been selected as finalists for this year’s Paseo FEAST, an annual community-funded program supporting emerging creative projects.

FEAST – Funding Emerging Artists Through Sustainable Tactics – is presented by the Paseo Arts Association and gives finalists the chance to pitch their ideas before a live audience. After hearing each presentation over dinner, attendees vote for the project they want to support. The winning artist or group can receive up to $2,000, funded through event ticket sales.
This year’s finalists represent a range of disciplines.
Ally Scherer will present From Earth to Art: Rewoven Traditions in the Cross Timbers, a mobile farm-to-fiber practice centered on Oklahoma fleeces, botanical dyes and traditional agrarian techniques.
Julius R. is proposing The Party Wall Initiative, a Norman-based program designed to support emerging muralists through community-focused projects.
Katie Graham’s The Story of Night and Day is a hand-embroidered traveling puppet theatre inspired by her award-winning fiber art collection.
Musician Keenan Jones, performing as KYD, will present GROVES: Signal Night, an interactive installation combining a memory archive with an alternative R&B performance.
The fifth finalist, local theatre group Whatever Works, is seeking support for its upcoming 2027 season.
“Our goal is to foster the growth of emerging creators through connection and opportunity and provide a comfortable atmosphere for all,” said Theresa Hultberg, program and exhibits manager for the Paseo Arts Association.
Paseo FEAST will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday, Oct. 13, at The Ritz on Britton, 912 W Britton Road.
Tickets are available through the Paseo Arts Association. For more information, call 405-525-2688, email amanda@thepaseo.org or visit thepaaok.org.
