VI Marketing’s Carne Diem Chili Cook-Off and block party hits its 12th anniversary this year, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Oct. 31 outside 125 Park Ave.
The lunch-hour event features more than 50 crock pots of chili as chefs vie for the Carne Cup award. Organizers said they expect more than 800 visitors this year.
For a $10 donation, attendees get three bowls of their choice and a commemorative chili-bowl-size ceramic mug. Proceeds benefit United Way of Central Oklahoma.
