What a beautiful story on the rescue of the miners in Chile. What a perfect example of government, the citizens and industry working together to save these people.
Then I got to thinking: Where was the Environmental Protection Agency? Where are the lawyers? Where are the lawsuits? Where are the protesters? Whose fault is it? Who should we blame for the mining accident? When will they begin their congressional investigation?
When will their liberals begin calling for a halt on mining operations? Should they develop alternate methods for mining? They were mining for gold; maybe there should be an alternate monetary standard? Where are Jackson and Sharpton? What are their opinions? Was it race related? Where are the scientific experts? Where are the rap stars? Where were Bush and Clinton? Where are the wackos from the church in Kansas?
Should Chileans develop a tea party movement? Maybe it’s their president’s fault, or the previous president?
So many unanswered questions, but in the meantime, cooperation actually worked!
